Playing Madden on All-Madden
In my quest to discover the intricacies of Madden 10, I have found out that playing on All-Madden is an attempt in futility. The computer's AI is so good, merely stopping them from scoring on one of their possessions would be an accomplishment. On another note, I did enjoy participating in a fantasy draft in which I could select the players I wanted to play with. This makes the game significantly easier. I also explored the "mini-games" which Madden has to offer, such as rushing attack, Madden Moments, and Create-A-Player. These are definitely assets to the game. I really enjoy playing it so far and hopefully I will learn some more cheats and advantages of Madden in the coming weeks.

Madden 10 - 1/22 Entry
Over the last three days, I have played Madden seriously for an extended period of time for the first time in my life. I am really enjoying the game for its surprisingly realistic gameplay and its cutting edge graphics. When I chose Madden 10 as my game for this semester, I decided that I wanted to play the game with the intention of finding ways to take advantage of the game, or even cheat to succeed. I wanted to discover all those "Madden perks" that everyone always talks about - the plays no one can stop.
I created a franchise with the Miami Dolphins on All-Pro setting (Pro, a beginner level, was too easy for me). I have played 4 games and I am 3-1, my only loss coming to the Colts. I found it very difficult to stop Peyton Manning (he is a 99 rating in the game). One type of advantage I have discovered though is how effective the Wildcat formation is against the A.I. of the computer in Madden - if I were playing against a friend, he likely would blitz hard every time he saw me in Wildcat, but the computer comes out in base defense - it is almost a guaranteed 4 to 5 yards every time I run Wildcat, if not more.
I'm sure in the coming weeks I will discover new ways to succeed at Madden. The game is fun and realistic and I cannot wait to keep playing and blogging about it.
